ABOUT JES

Jayanagar Education Society known as JES, established in the year 1966, registered under Mysore Societies Registration Act, with the primary objective: to run Educational and allied Institutions. During 1997-98, Dr.Paramahamsa was elected as the president for the society. During this period, many new programmes like City PU College, City College were added in addition to the school as a part of the expansion programme.

The society is headed by Mrs. Geetha Paramahamsa, Secretary governing the activities of City College and City Engineering College.

Secretary speaks:

During the last seven years, the Society has worked effectively, in the field of education, and also it has proved to be an alma-matter for various society institutions. This is evident by its growth and its expansion over educational activities.

The Society has provided educational facilities right from K.G. to P.G. classes of various faculties. Our meritorious students securing national and state level awards have always been a matter of pride to us. Along with formal education, our Education Society has also substantially contributed to technical education and Faculty development.

The solid granite buildings of the college are sheltered under a canopy of ornamental trees. The Building of the City College houses the Offices of Principal, Administrative Offices for the Degree and PG courses. Various halls, class rooms, labs and other facilities are self contained in the Main Building.

Where as the CEC spreads across in two Blocks one in as Engineering Block and the second as the PG block accommodating the MBA & Computer Programmes. The surrounding of the college landscaped beautifully, setting perfect atmosphere for learning.

The City Engineering College and City College , run by this society, is one among the best colleges in Bangalore . Our success reflects the effort we have put in: speaks for itself.
